Receiving ILL Notices as Text Messages

How do I set up text messaging with ILLiad?

The Library recently implemented a new feature in ILLiad that allows users to receive notices as text messages in addition to email. ILLiad is the interLibrary loan (ILL) management system you can use to electronically request and receive library materials not owned by Woodward Library.

Log in to your ILL Account, select "Change User Information" from the left menu bar, enter your 10-digit mobile phone number - without spaces, parentheses, and dashes - in to the "Mobile Phone" field and click on the "Submit Information" button to save the changes.

New users can select the "First Time Users" link on the login page to sign up for an ILL account. You need to complete a simple registration form, including entering your 10-digit mobile phone number - without spaces, parentheses, and dashes - in to the "Mobile Phone" field, and then click on the "Submit Information" button to complete the signing up.

Is there a charge?

Please note that text messages or data rates may apply. Please check the terms of your contract for details on charges related to receiving text messages.

Complete notices are sent via text messaging and may be truncated to fit character limits.

We strongly encourage you to continue to receive both email and text message notices, and to check your ILL Account for additional information. Failure to receive any notice does not relieve you of your borrower responsibilities.

What if I want to STOP receiving text messages from ILLiad?

Simply return to the "Change User Information" page in ILLiad and uncheck the boxes under the "Request Notification Preferences" option for text messages, and click on the "Submit Information" button to save changes. Please leave your email address in this field!

Why should I set up text messaging?

If you rarely check your email and/or want instant notification that your books or articles are available, this is the service for you!

Who do I contact if I have problems with or questions about ILL?
